Suggestions for extending learning
Children could further develop their biographic writing style by writing biographies about a
friend or family member. These could be realistic, or they could use their imaginations and write
about a friend as if they have achieved a world record.
Pupils could read biographies of other inspirational people. You may have books in the school
library they could access, or you might suggest sites they can visit to read examples of
biographical writing.
Home learning opportunities
Children can take the Crossword home with them to practise their new spellings.
Children could write a biography about the other individual from the lesson (Preet or Dave)
